The New York Post / Dow Jones again taps Web Printing Controls (WPC)

The New York Post / Dow Jones is expanding its Goss International presses along with a color register control system (CCR Plus) from Web Printing Controls.

The systems are in the final stages of commissioning and The New York Post / Dow Jones has already begun to realize improved quality and cost per paper savings. The system which uses Air Purge Image Heads raises the bar in low maintenance on press systems. With ease of installation improvements due to miniaturized image heads combined with the speed of pulling in register make this advancement a generational step for users and for WPC.

Once again The WPC Team has pulled through with the additional installment of their registration system on the added color towers here at the New York Post.  WPC’s new Color Registration System (CCR Plus) works everyday with little to no maintenance required, and helps our products achieve the best quality at the lowest cost possible.” said Ray Walsh, The New York Post’s Pressroom Superintendent, who went on to add; “WPC’s CCR Systems truly set the standard for (Closed Loop) Register Controls on Newspaper presses. In working with (a well known competitor's product) and WPC’s registration systems, by far in comparison WPC is the choice for reliability and over all consistency. Great work WPC Team!”.

In addition to the New York Post / Dow Jones register project, WPC’s has recently installed CCR Plus at Le Journal de Quebec, as well as The Ottawa Sun.
